Messages From the Past, oil and wax on panel (diptych)
Messages From the Past, was inspired by a visit to Bandelier National Monument in northern New Mexico. Bandelier National Monument protects over 30,000 acres of rugged but beautiful canyon and mesa country. Human presence here dates back over 11,000 years. Petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities.
This painting was created by layering luscious oil paints, oil sticks and cold wax on a cradled birch panel.
Note: This is a diptych, however the individual paintings can be sold separately. Please inquire.
