This painting was inspired by the painted skies, canyon walls and Pueblos of Northern New Mexico. Ancestral Pueblo people have lived in New Mexico and the surrounding area for some 7,000 years. Their name is Spanish for “stone masonry village dweller.”

The sides are painted in a rich, shimmery gray/black micaceous iron oxide so framing is not necessary.
