It was a week for abstracts my friends.  I am drawn to painting in abstract and I really can't explain why.  I select my color palette and then start applying paints to the canvas and viola, the birth of a new painting.  In reality it is not that simple, but it is immensely fulfilling when I put my initials on the canvas.  

If you've been following my work and blog, you know I LOVE color and my paintings always include the bold use of color.  It must be something in my soul that instinctively shouts out colors when I'm sitting in front of my easel.  Colors make me happy, and I paint  happy subjects.

I often have a hard time falling to sleep because I'm thinking about being in my studio the next day and what I'll be working on.  Sometimes I even dream that I'm painting.  So naturally I had to title a painting "Dream Land".  It seems there aren't enough hours in the day to paint as much as I'd like.
