Walking on Sunshine - this painting inspiration came from Trader Joe’s sunflowers 🌻
I bought a bunch a couple weeks ago and I’m down to the last remaining stem. I can’t believe how hardy and beautiful they were. I just had to capture that feeling.
Not normally a palette I use, but it was dictated by the sole remaining flower.
This painting was created by layering luscious oil paints, oil sticks and cold wax on a cradled birch panel. All these elements come together beautifully and then the painting is framed in an antiqued gold float frame.
Ready to hang, framed in beautiful wood float frame.
