New Artwork Available

I’m so excited to announce new artwork available in my online gallery. And, I’m especially excited as these new artworks are created with a new medium for me - oil paint and cold wax. I am just in love with this process and the results they produce.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are excited about the possibilities that 2019 offers. I have hit the ground running and wanted to share just a few things that are coming up this year. My first solo exhibit of 2019 will open on February 8, 2019 at the Highlands Museum of the Arts (MoTA) in lovely Sebring, Florida. If you’re going to be in the area through the end of March, please stop by MoTA to see my work.

Just a few things that are in the works already:

  1. I’ve applied for an artist grant from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County for professional development. Wish me luck!

  2. I’ve secured my first solo exhibit at TECO Public Art Gallery for November-December 2019.

  3. Booked my casita in Santa Fe, NM to spend three months painting this summer.

  4. Continuing my search for additional gallery representation.

I wish you a year of health, joy, and beauty through your enjoyment of the arts that you've invited into your world. 2018 was a year of growth with the addition of exciting exhibitions, and you - my collectors and art supporters who make all of this possible.

May 2019 continue to brighten your lives with color.

Your artist friend, Mary

Show Highlights & New Artwork

Show Highlights & New Artwork

Summer has turned to Fall and show season is beginning again here in Florida. The month of August was spent preparing for my current solo show “My World in Color” which opened at the historic Rialto Theatre gallery on September 4 and runs through October 27. The opening reception on September 28 was very well attended and I’m thrilled to say a couple paintings will be going to new homes following the show’s closing.

I am blessed to have had so many friends come out to help me celebrate the evening. Little did I know four years ago that I would be hosting my third solo art show. I’m still pinching myself to make sure this is really happening.

After taking a breather from the show opening I started on new paintings using a blue and violet color palette. These two pieces were painted together as companion pieces, one in acrylics and the other oil pastel over an acrylic background. Both are 12 x 12 inches and will be framed. Click on the photos for more info on each piece.
